Crystal Lake is one of the most photographically stunning locations in Shelby County, and our lakeside ceremony arch — with the open water behind you — creates images that look editorial without requiring a destination wedding budget. Many of our most treasured wedding photos have come from elopements of 10–15 people.

Typical Elopement Timeline

Our elopements typically run 2 hours from arrival to departure. Here's what a typical timeline looks like:

:00 — Couple and guests arrive, coordinator greets, florals in place
:20 — Pre-ceremony photos at lakeside arch and pier
:45 — Ceremony begins (typically 20–30 minutes)
1:15 — Post-ceremony champagne toast and family photos
1:45 — Additional location photos (pier, willow grove, garden pergola)
2:00 — Couple departs for private dinner

Customization Options

The Elopement Bliss package is a starting point. We can add a private dinner on the outdoor patio (weather-permitting), a professional photographer from our preferred vendor list, hair and makeup in the bridal suite, or a dessert bar for your guests. Ask about add-ons when you contact us.

Legal Requirements Note

To legally marry in Texas, you'll need a marriage license from the county clerk's office (Shelby County Clerk, 200 San Augustine St, Center, TX 75935) at least one day before the ceremony. Licenses are valid for 60 days. Your officiant will file the paperwork after the ceremony. We're happy to walk you through the process.
